Welcome!

Hi folks, glad you made it here :) As you can see, this version of my blog looks much different than the old Wordpress one. I'm really happy that my new design is here, so the blog and Crafter's Tome look the same. All of our articles are here too, so you can find any older posts that you might need for reference purposes. And Blogspot allows us to use JavaScript on our site, so we can finally get functional WoWHead pop-ups, woot! For now we're going to leave kaliope.crafterstome.com running at the old site to give feed readers a few days to update their links before we reroute it here. In the meantime I'll be writing new posts on this blog. If you forget to change your links, the final post at the old site will point you here.

I put something new in the sidebar that I'm pretty tickled about. It's near the bottom so it doesn't interfere with the important navigation links. I'm calling it "Kali TV" and it's a collection of my favorite fun/geek/wow songs. This is pretty much the same song list I have on my iPod that I play when I want something fun. My kids and I listen to this regularly when we just want to be goofballs :)

    The tag cloud clearly illustrates your disdain for fishing hats, and your love of adventuring. I see how you are now ;)

  2. Rofl, I didn't even know I *had* a fishing hat tag. This is what happens when you do a bulk import peeps :)

    Adventuring is more of a catch-all for non crafting stuff. From what I can see, it's mostly seasonal posts. Perhaps a renaming would be in order. Of course, this assumes I can figure out how to modify tags...

  4. The site really looks good. I still loathe Blogspot's comment interface though. Having to select a profile every time I comment is frustrating to say the least.

    (Not to mention having to do the word verification on every comment.)

  5. Kestrel: I discovered we can actually turn off the word verification, which I've just done. If spam comments don't start taking over, we can leave it off and revel in the increased convenience.

    For the profile selection, does it not remember you for a certain amount of time? It does for me.

  6. I should also mention, if the Blogger comment system turns out to be intolerable, we could explore replacing it with IntenseDebate or Disqus. They both work with Blogger and are highly regarded commenting systems from what I've seen.
